Childbirth Education Group Class – BIRTHING FROM WITHIN™

I am a Childbirth Education Mentor for Birthing From Within™. Birthing from Within™ classes are an extraordinary childbirth preparation based on the revolutionary book by the same name, written by Pam England, a midwife. Pam’s unique approach to childbirth offers compassionate and helpful ways to prepare for the birth of your baby and new parenthood. In this class you’ll learn about the physiological, mental and emotional aspects of labor and birth. We will learn how to understand and process the instinctual aspects of childbirth through creative exercises and multi-sensory experiences. We will explore multiple approaches to labor and birth, how labor works, what it looks and feels like, comfort measures and positions for labor, and practice proven techniques for coping with pain. These classes are taught as a 5 week series or a one-day intensive.

  • You’re the best decision I’ve ever made. You exceeded all of our expectations. Your knowledge and support gave me the confidence to believe I could have the birth I wanted. AND I DID! I’m so happy you were with us. Your constant comfort and knowing the right thing to say just when I’d need it the most, is not something that you can learn. It just comes so naturally to you. You’re amazing. Thank you from our little family.

  • I can’t say enough great things about Carole. We hired her because of her experience being a nurse. She is so knowledgeable and was always able to answer our questions. She is warm, caring and very organized. She took such good care of me. I cannot imagine having my baby without her.

  • I planned to interview at least 3 doulas and Carole was my first. After only 1 hour with her, she made me and my husband feel so confident, that we canceled all the other interviews and hired her immediately. She was so helpful during my pregnancy, always available to answer any questions and during my birth she was right by my side. She not only helped me, but took care of my husband too and coached him how to help me. Carole’s support was invaluable. Hire her!

  • When I started looking for a doula, I asked everyone I knew and Carole’s name kept popping up. My labor was tough and long and Carole was with me every step of the way. I don’t know what I would have done without her. I really wanted a natural birth and would not have been able to have that without Carole’s support and experience. She’s a “labor-whisperer”. She was so nurturing and kept the whole room calm. She was great with all of the nurses and doctors. She’s an excellent doula and a wonderful person.
